The Copa America (“America Cup”) is the main international soccer competition in the Americas. It is run by CONMEBOL, the South American football confederation. However they still do invite two or three CONCACAF teams, from North America. The countries that participate are Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela; and from the North: usually USA and Mexico.
The first tournament was held by Argentina in 1916, and since then, every 4 years, another tournament occurred. This year, the tournament is currently being held in Venezuela.
